Central, SC – Head Women's Basketball coach John Davis is pleased to announce the signing of Jensyn Turner. Turner comes to Southern Wesleyan from Roebuck, S.C. and Woodruff High School.
"Jensyn is an incredible young lady that loves the Lord and wants basketball to be her platform for Jesus Christ," commented Davis. "She plays the game at a high level and is a tireless worker. She will make us better in our Christ-centered foundation and grow us competitively."
Turner is a 4-time All-Region student-athlete, 2-time All-State selection and also Region Player of the Year. This past season she averaged 14.1 points, 4.5 assists and 6 steals per game, while surpassing the 1,000 point mark. Turner also set school records for career assists and steals, while also setting the school record for steals in a season.
"Despite challenges this season, my team showed resilience and worked hard for every opportunity, which helped shape me as a leader," stated Turner. "I chose Southern Wesleyan University because of its Christ-centered environment and strong sense of community. From the start it felt like home and I believe it will help me grow on and off the court."
