Meet Ty the Warrior

Our very Warrior has chosen the name Ty. The shortened form of Tysinger. J Walden Tysinger was a passionate advocate for the university in the 1960s. His fundraising efforts helped the college rebuild after the McDonald Hall fire. Buildings he help to fund include Brower Classroom Building, Gibson Science Building, Ellenberg Lecture Hall, Stuart-Bennett Hall, Folger Fine Arts Building, and his namesake, Historic Tysinger Gymnasium. Ty will help Southern Wesleyan University Athletics carry its historic past into its bright future.
