Cross Country Course

The Cross Country Course is located on campus and tracks near the entrance at Highway 93.

The course was completed just prior to the fall of 1999 and right on time to host the NAIA Conference/Regional Meet. Life University, ranked #1 at the time, went on to dominate the meet with six runners finishing in the top seven.

The course underwent a significant renovation in 2007 and is used for Southern Wesleyan cross country practice and meets as well as serving as a host site for several local high school races in the area.

The course is a throwback design to the European roots of the sport as it has a wide variety of topography and challenging terrain. During a race, the harriers will encounter open fields, dirt singletrack, wooded areas, bridge crossings, off camber turns, and a significant amount of elevation change to test their skills.

It is a very fan friendly venue as the runners run the perimeter of each field and come back toward the center of the course in a clover leaf type fashion. It gives the fans many access points to cheer and encourage their favorite athletes.
