Anderson, SC – Southern Wesleyan was led by a school record in the mile by Ronan O'Neill and several top ten finishes in the Electric City Invite this weekend.

Track Results
100m: In the 100 meters, Dominic Gonzalez took 20th with a time of 11.48. Bertin Manzi and Eli Powell were the next two to finish. Manzi took 27th with a time of 11.83 and Powell took 28th with a time of 12.09.
100mh: Freshman Happy Lea qualified for the finals as he took second in the preliminaries with a time of 14.79. Lea continued to impress as he led the whole field in the finals by taking first with a time of 14.90.
200m: Jaden Warner took 9th in the 200 meters with a time of 21.94. Dominic Gonzalez and Eli Powell were the next two Warriors to finish the 200 meters. Gonzalez took 27th with a time of 23.45 and Powell finished in 31st with a time of 24.03. Bertin Manzi wrapped up the field for the Warriors as he took 32nd with a time of 24.18.
400m: Taking eighth in the 400 meters was Solomon Pitts as he finished with a time of 49.54. Pitts was followed by Jaden Warner in 22nd with a time of 51.22.
800m: In the 800 meters, Dustyn Scruggs finished in 3rd place with a time of 1:56.05. Scruggs was closely followed by Nate Hill who took 5th with a time of 1:56.24. Ethan Marchman finished in 10th with a time of 1:57.81. Ronan O'Neill and Caleb Richardson were the next two Warriors to finish. O'Neill took 21st with a time of 2:02.80 and Richardson took 28th with a time of 2:04.82. Jesse Sauve wrapped up the field for the Warriors as he took 39th with a time of 2:07.30.
Open Mile: In the open mile, Grady Clark took second place with a time of 4:23.50. He was followed by Caleb Richardson in 12th with a time of 4:36.70.
Invite Mile: Ronan O'Neill broke the school record in the mile on Friday evening as he took second place with a time of 4:12.50. Seconds behind him, Drew Jones took 9th with a time of 4:17.56.
3000m Steeple: Jesse Sauve took seventh in the steeplechase with a time of 10:07.33.
10000m: In the 10000 meters, Kaden Reeder took seventh with a time of 33.10.88. Reeder was followed by Grayson Gillespie who took 10th with a time of 36:54.13.
4x100 Meter Relay: The Warriors team of Aziah Gaskin, Jaden Warner, Dominic Gonsalez and Solomon Pitts took fourth with a time of 43.40.
Field Results
Discus: Mason Griffiths led the Warriors in the discus with a throw of 37.91 meters to take 10th place. Griffiths was followed by Happy Lea in 25th with a throw of 30.53m.
High Jump: In the high jump, Ethan Shoemaker took seventh after he cleared a height of 1.80 meters. He was followed by Isaiah Gamble in ninth with a jump of 1.80 meters.
Javelin: Happy Lea led the Warriors in the javelin after his throw of 48.90 meters allowed him to take eighth. He was followed by Mason Griffiths who threw 39.63 meters to take 13th. Eli Powell and Rusty Chappell wrapped up the field for the Warriors. Powell took 16th after throwing 36.35 meters and Chappell took 17th after a throw of 36.34 meters.
Long Jump: Jose Verdejo took 21st in the long jump after he jumped 5.46 meters.
Shot Put: The Warriors were led by Rusty Chappell in the shot put after he threw of distance of 8.62 meters to take 23rd place. He was followed by Eli Powell who took 24th with a throw of 8.44 meters.
Triple Jump: In the triple jump, Jose Verdejo took 10th with a jump of 11.63 meters.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will compete in Cleveland, TN on April 11-12 in the Lee Fast Break Invite. They will then compete in the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Championship on April 25-26. The Warriors will compete in the Lee Last Chance meet on May 10.
