How It Happened
Team Results
Landon Smith led the Warriors in the tournament. Smith kicked off the tournament by shooting a 77 in the first round. He fought back in the second round as he shot even with a score of 72. Smith then shot two over par for a 74 in the final round of the tournament. His total round score of 223 allowed him to finish in 10th place.
Smith was followed by United Kingdom native Kieran Parkins. After opening up the tournament with a 77 in the first round, Parkins shot a 75 in round two. In the final round of the tournament, Parkins shot a 77 to allow him to finish with a total round score of 229 and take 21st.
The third Warrior to finish in the Hampton Farms Intercollegiate was Ben Sanders. Sanders opened up the tournament by shooting a 76 in both the first and second rounds. In the final round of the tournament, Sanders shot a 79 to allow him to finish in 27th with a total round score of 231.
JP Reed was the next Warrior to finish in the tournament. He started by shooting an 87. Reed battled back as he shot a 76 in the second round of the tournament. Reed continued to fight in the final round of the round of the tournament as he shot two over par with a 74. Reed picked up an eagle during the final round. His final round score of 237 allowed him to finish in 43rd.
Wrapping up the field for the team was Alston Brooks. In the first round of the tournament, Brooks shot an 83. He then shot an 86 in the second round. In the final round, Brooks shot a 79 to give him a 248 total round score and put him in 57th.
Individual Results
Southern Wesleyan had three individuals competing in the Hampton Farms Intercollegiate in Tyler Lusk, Matis Sayah and Landen Pitts.
Tyler Lusk took 47th in the tournament. Lusk opened up the tournament by shooting an 80. In the second round of the Hampton Farms Intercollegiate, Lusk shot six over par for a 78. He then shot an 82 in the final round to give him a total round score of 240 and put him 47th.
Lusk was followed by Matis Sayah. Sayah shot an 83 in round one and then an 84 in the second round. In the final round, Sayah shot an 87 to give him a total round score of 254 and put him in 59th.
The final individual for the Warriors was Landen Pitts who finished in 66th. Pitts shot a 97 in the first round. He then shot a 99 in both the second and third rounds. His total round score of 295 allowed him to finish in 66th.
