Greenville, SC – Conference Carolinas announced their 2025-26 Men's Golf All-Conference selections following the Conference Championship on Thursday. Southern Wesleyan was honored as freshman Owen Kinnunen was among those listed on the All-Conference team.

At the AU/Erskine Currahee Invitation, he went on to take 25th after going 74-72-73 over the three rounds.
The freshman out of Taylors, SC secured his first top 10 finish of the season in the Bob Dibble Memorial on October 14. He carded a 72, 69 and 77 over the three rounds to give him a 218 total round score and put him in a tie for ninth place.
His top 10 run continued as he took fifth place at the Patriot Fall Classic. He opened up the tournament with a 74, but then battled back to hit five under par with a 67 in round two and then a 69 in round three for a 210 total round score.
Kinnunen continued to attack the course in the spring portion of the season. He claimed his first top 15 place finish during the Spring Bulldog Clash where he carded 76-71-71 over the three rounds to give him a total round score of 218. He ended the tournament in 15th place.
He went on to compete in his best tournament of the spring during the Greenwood Invitational. After opening up the tournament with a 71, Kinnunen shot a 69 in the second round and then a 65 in the final round. Tied with Bryce Wheeler of Grand Valley for first place, Kinnunen and Wheeler faced off in a playoff hole. However, Kinnunen could not pass Wheeler to claim the outright champion title. His top finish did secure him a place in the All-Tournament Team.

In the Conference Carolinas Championship earlier this week, Kinnunen finished within the top 20 golfers. He carded a 76 in the opening round before then shooting a 74 and 72 over the next two rounds to give him a 222 total round score. He finished the tournament in 19th place.
