How It Happened
Owen Kinnunen led the Warriors during the Conference Carolinas Championship as he finished in a tie for 19th. He shot a 76 in the first round. Kinnunen continued to improve his scores in the second round as he carded a 74. In the final round, Kinnunen shot even with a 72 to allow him to have a 222 total round score.
Southern Wesleyan's second finisher in the tournament was Landon Smith. Smith opener up the tournament by shooting a 75 in the first round. In the second round of the championship, he shot a 76. He then shot a 76 in the final round of the tournament to record a total round score of 227 to finish in a tie for 31st.
JP Reed finished in a tie for 36th in the tournament. After opening up the tournament with a 76, Reed shot a 77 in the second round. In the final round, Reed fought back to shoot a 76. He picked up a total round score of 229.
The next Warrior to finish was United Kingdom native Kieran Parkins. Parkins carded a 76 in the opening round of the Conference Carolinas Championship. He then scored an 80 in the second round. Parkins wrapped up the tournament with a 77 to give him a total round score of 233. He finished in a tie for 50th.
Ben Sanders wrapped up the field for the Warriors. The freshman out of Taylors, SC shot an 81 in both the first and second rounds of the tournament. Sanders then carded an 82 in the final round to allow him to have a total round score of 244 and put him in 56th.
