How It Happened
Cameron Addis led the Warriors in their first tournament of the season. The native of Greenwood, SC opened up the tournament by shooting a 77 in the first round. Addis battled back in the second round as he shot even with a 72. His final round score of 71 gave him a total round score of 220 and put him in a tie for 25th place.
Behind Addis was Kieran Parkins. Parkins opened up the tournament with a 78. He battled back in the second round as he shot one under par for a 71. The native of England shot a 76 in the final round of the tournament. His total round score of 225 put him in a tie for 40th place.
Parkins was followed by both Adam Knox and Garrett Gillespie who both finished in a tie for 44th place.
Garrett Gillespie opened up the Dewsweeper Invite by shooting a 78 in the first round. In the second round, Gillespie shot a 79. Gillespie was not done though, as he fought back to shoot three under par in the final round of the tournament for a 69. His total round score of 226 allowed him to finish in a tie for 44th place.
In the first round of the tournament, Adam Knox shot a 77. Knox then came out to shoot one under par for a 71 in round two of the tournament. He went on to shoot a 78 in the final round of the tournament to give him a total round score of 226 and put him in a tie for 44th place.
Wrapping up the field for the Warriors was Jaelan Fisher. Fisher shot a 76 in the opening round of the Dewsweeper Invite. In round two, Fisher shot an 81. However, in the final round of the tournament, Fisher shot even with a 72 to give him a total round score of 229. He finished in a tie for 53rd place.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next compete in the Erskine Collegiate on October 5-6 in Toccoa, GA. They will then travel to Chuckey, TN where they will compete in the Bob Dibble Memorial on October 12-13. On October 19-20, the Warriors will travel to Ninety Six, SC to compete in Lander's Patriot Fall Classic.
