Pawleys Island, SC – Southern Wesleyan finished in a tie for 7th place in the Spring Bulldog Clash with two Warriors finishing in the top thirty.
How It Happened
The Warriors were led by Owen Kinnunen in the Spring Bulldog Clash. Kinnunen shot a 76 in the first round. He then came back to shoot 71 in both of the next two rounds to give him a total round score of 218. He finished in a tie for 15th place.
Behind Kinnunen was Landon Smith. Smith also finished in the top thirty as an individual after he shot a total round score of 220. He shot a 75 in the first round of the tournament. Smith then battled back to shoot one under par with a 69 in the second round. In the final round he shot a 76. He finished in a tie for 23rd place.
Andrew Baxley was the next Warrior to finish in the Spring Bulldog Clash. In the first round of the tournament, Baxley shot a 76. He then shot a 74 and 73 in the next two rounds to give him a total round score of 223 to put him in a tie for 38th place.
Southern Wesleyan's next finisher was Kieran Parkins. Parkins shot a 75 in the first round. In the second round, Parkins shot a 76. He then shot a 74 in the final round to give him a total round score of 225 and put him in a tie for 46th place.
Finishing in a tie for 74th place, Ben Sanders shot a total round score of 230. Sanders shot an 81 in the first round and then shot a 75 in the second round. In the final round of the tournament, he shot a 74.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will travel to Greenwood, SC on March 9-10 to compete in the Greenwood Invitational hosted by the Lander Bearcats. On March 23-24, the Warriors will travel to Tigerville, SC to compete in the Cherokee Invitational hosted by the North Greenville Trailblazers.
