Winston-Salem, NC – Southern Wesleyan claimed several top ten finishes at the ASICS Sound Invite on Saturday.

Track Results
60mh | Happy Lea led the whole field in the preliminaries of the 60 meter hurdles. His time of 8.40 allowed him to secure first place in the preliminaries to qualify for the finals. He was followed by Caleb Stephan in ninth with a time of 8.84. In the finals, Lea went on to take third place with a time of 8.48.
400m | In the 400 meters, freshman Caleb Stephan led the Warriors as his time of 50.05 put him in fourth place. Stephan was followed by Jaden Warner in 17th with a time of 51.57.
800m | The Warriors were led by Nate Hill in the men's 800 meters. Hill finished in seventh place with a time of 1:57.77. Right on his heels, Ethan Marchman took eighth with a time of 1:58.11. Andre Kelly III took 19th with a time of 2:03.07.
800m (seeded) | In the seeded portion of the 800 meters, Dustyn Scruggs finished in 10th place with a time of 1:53.26.
Mile | Drew Jones led the Warriors in the mile with his time of 4:19.64 to take 22nd. Jones was followed by Grady Clark and Ronan O'Neill. Clark finished in 35th with a time of 4:25.55 while O'Neill finished in 38th with a time of 4:28.13.
Field Results
High Jump | Ethan Shoemaker led the Warriors in the high jump as he cleared a height of 1.92 meters to put him in second place.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will wrap up the Indoor Track & Field season on February 22-23 as they compete in the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championship. They will then open up the Outdoor Track & Field season at home as they host the Gotta Run Invite on March 13-14.
