Track Results
3000m Steeplechase: Drew Jones led the whole field in the steeplechase. Jones took first after finishing with a time of 11:23.23. He was followed by John Locke, who took third with a time of 14:22.43.
5000m: In the 5000 meters, Kaden Reeder led the Warriors. Reeder finished in 16:12.20 to give him second place. Right behind him were Grayson Gillespie and Caleb Richardson. Gillespie took third with a time of 16:33.97 and Richardson finished in fourth with a time of 16:49.45. Thomas Macagg took fifth as he finished in 17:50.71. Josue Avendano wrapped up the field for the Warriors as he took sixth with a time of 17:58.79.
1500m: Ronan O'Neill led the Warriors in the 1500m. O'Neill took third with a time of 4:01.05. Behind him, Grady Clark took 10th with a time of 4:14.49.
110mh: Southern Wesleyan was led by Happy Lea in the 110 meter hurdles. Lea's time of 15.06 allowed him to take first place.
400m: Solomon Pitts led the Warriors in the 400 meters as his time of 50.54 allowed him to take fourth place.
800m: In the 800 meters, Ronan O'Neill took sixth with a time of 2:06.20. He was followed by Andrew Davis, who took 14th with a time of 2:14.88.
400mh: Eli Powell finished in fourth with a time of 1:05.83.
200m: Southern Wesleyan was led by Nate Hill in the 200 meters. Hill took fourth with a time of 22.49. Behind him were Jaden Warner and Dustyn Scruggs. Warner finished in eighth with a time of 22.98 and Scruggs took 11th with a time of 23.24. Ethan Marchman finished in 15th with a time of 23.37. Dominic Gonzalez and Aziah Gaskin were the next two Warriors to finish. Gonzalez took 18th with a time of 23.53 and Gaskin took 20th with a time of 23.90. Eli Powell finished in 24th with a time of 24.61. Bertin Manzi wrapped up the field for the Warriors as he took 25th with a time of 24.74.
3000m: Jesse Suave finished in second place in the 3000 meters as he finished with a time of 9:56.63.
4x400 Meter Relay: The Warriors team of Ethan Marchman, Dustyn Scruggs, Grady Clark and Ronan O'Neill took first place the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:27.54.
Field Results
Long Jump: Jose Verdejo took 10th in the long jump after clearing a distance of 5.47 meters.
High Jump: In the high jump, the Warriors were led by Wilontae Anderson. Anderson took second place after he cleared 1.90 meters. He was followed by Isaiah Gamble who finished in fifth after clearing 1.75 meters.
Javelin: Happy Lea led the Warriors in the javelin on Saturday. Lea threw a distance of 50.20 meters to allowed him to take fourth place. He was followed by Mason Griffiths who took seventh after his throw of 43.03 meters. Titus Thompson and Rusty Chappell wrapped up the field for the Warriors. Thompson finished in 11th with a throw of 37.70 meters and Chappell took 14th with a throw of 34.65 meters.
Triple Jump: In the triple jump, Jose Verdejo took third with a jump of 11.70 meters.
Discus: Mason Griffiths took 11th in the discus after his throw of 33.83 meters.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will travel to Columbia, SC on March 7-8 to compete at Columbia International. They will then travel to Statesboro, GA to compete at Georgia Southern on March 21-22. The Warriors will host the Gotta Run Invite on March 28-29.
