Clemson, SC – Ethan Marchman breaks school record in the 600 meters while Warriors put up strong showings in first Indoor Track & Field meet of the season at the Clemson Opener.

Track Events
60mh: Happy Lea finished in 11th in the preliminaries of the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.405. He was followed by Caleb Stephan. Stephan took 14th with a time of 8.60.
200m: Jaden Warner finished the 200 meter in 27th with a time of 22.63.
300m: In the 300 meters, Happy Lea took 35th with a time of 36.80.
400m: Freshman Caleb Stephan led the Warriors in the 400 meters as he took eighth place with a time of 50.247. He was followed Jaden Warner in 15th with a time of 51.14.
600m: In the 600 meters, Ethan Marchman broke the previous Southern Wesleyan school record as he took ninth with a time of 1:22.64.
800m: Sophomore Andre Kelly III took fifth with a time of 2:03.14.
1000m: Dustyn Scruggs finished in sixth in the men's 1000 meters as he crossed the finish line with a time of 2:34.11.
Mile: The Warriors were led by senior Jesse Sauve in the mile on Friday. Sauve's time of 4:48.81 put him in sixth place. He was followed by Justin South who took seventh with a time of 5:35.60.
3000m: Ronan O'Neill led the Warriors in the 3000 meters on Friday. O'Neill took 10th place with a time of 8:53.00. Four seconds behind him, Drew Jones finished in 11th with a time of 8:57.71. Grady Clark was the next Warrior to finish as he took 12th with a time of 9:01.61. Clark was followed by Caleb Richardson who took 16th with a time of 9:28.12.
5000m: Kaden Reeder and Grayson Gillespie competed in the 5000 meters for the Warriors. Reeder led the team as his time of 15:48.59 put him in eighth place. Seconds behind him, Gillespie took ninth with a time of 15:57.75.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will take a break for the Christmas holidays before returning to the track on January 10 as they travel to Columbia, SC to take part in the South Carolina Opener. They will then travel to Winston-Salem, NC on January 17 to compete in the JDL College Team Challenge.
