How It Happened
Freshman Andrew Baxley led the Warriors in the first rounds of the Barton Fall Invitational. He started off by carding a 72 in the first round. He then hit just three over par in the second round. Baxley wrapped up the tournament by shooting an 80 to give him a total round score of 227 and put him in 10th.
Owen Kinnunen led off the first round of the tournament by hitting five over par for a 77. Kinnunen battled back in the second round as he carded a 75. In the final round of the tournament, he shot a 79 to put him in 20th with a total round score of 231.
In the first round of the Barton Fall Invitational, Landon Smith shot three over par in the opening round for a 75. He then got a 79 in the second round. Smith went on to shoot an 80 in the final round to give him a total round score of 234 and put him in a tie for 29th.
Kieran Parkins shot a 79 in the opening round of the tournament. Parkins then just three over par in the second round for a 75. He wrapped up the tournament by hitting an 80 to give him a 234 total round score and put him in a tie for 29th alongside teammate Landon Smith.
Southern Wesleyan's final Warrior on the scoreboard was Ben Sanders. Sanders opened up the Barton Fall Invitational by carding an 85. He scored an 81 in the second round. In the final round of the tournament, Sanders shot an 82 to give him a 248 total round score and allow him to finish in 53rd.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan's Men's Golf program will take a break for the winter before resuming competition in February for their Championship segment of the season.
