How It Happened
Owen Kinnunen led the Warriors during the Bob Dibble Memorial. Kinnunen shot even on the first round of the tournament while going under par for five holes to give him a first round score of 72. In the sound round, Kinnunen shot three under par including picking up an eagle on the sixteenth hole to give him a second round score of 69. Kinnunen rounded out the final round of the tournament with a 77. He had a total round score of 218 to allow him to finish in a tie for ninth place.
Southern Wesleyan's next finisher in the tournament was Kieran Parkins. In the first round of the tournament, Parkins shot a round score of 74. Parkins went on to shoot three over par in the second round as he carded a 75. On the first hole of the third round, Kieran Parkins recorded an albatross as he had a two stroke hole on a par five. He went on to card a 73 in the round. The native of the United Kingdom picked up a total round score of 222 to put him in 24th place.
In his first tournament of the season, Landon Smith shot just three over par in the opening round for a 75. Smith went under par on four holes in the second round as he carded a second round score of 73. He went on to pick up a 79 in the final round to give him a total round score of 227 and allow him to finish in a tie for 38th place.
Andrew Baxley was the next Warrior to finish in the Bob Dibble Memorial. He joined Parkins with a first round score of 74. In the second round, Baxley picked up his first eagle of the season on the sixteenth hole of the round. He went on to record a 76 during the round. Baxley carded a 78 in the final round. His total round score of 228 allowed him to finish in a tie for 47th.
Matis Sayah, a native of France, shot an 81 in the opening round of the tournament. Sayah picked up his first eagle of the season in the second round. He shot just two over par for a 74 total round score in the round. In the third and final round, Sayah shot an 86 to give him a total round score of 241 and allow him to finish in a tie for 79th.

Southern Wesleyan will travel to Ninety Six, SC on October 20-21 as they compete in Lander's Bearcat Fall Classic. They will wrap up the fall season in Snow Hill, NC as they compete in the Barton Fall Intercollegiate on October 27-28.
