Lynchburg, VA – Dustyn Scruggs and Drew Jones set new school records as Warriors put up strong showing at Brant Tolsma Invitational.

Track Results
60m: Aziah Gaskin took 54th in the 60 meters as he finished with a time of 7.45.
60mh: In the preliminaries of the 60 meter hurdles, Happy Lea claimed third place with a time of 8.31 to advance to the finals. In the finals, Lea once again finished with a time of 8.31 and took fourth place.
200m: In the 200 meters, Jaden Warner took 59th with a time of 23.68.
400m: Junior Ethan Marchman took 33rd in the 400 meters as he finished with a time of 52.10. Marchman was followed by Jaden Warner who took 49th with a time of 54.69.
800m: In the 800 meter run, Dustyn Scruggs took fifth with a time of 1:56.61. Scruggs was followed by Nate Hill who took 16th with a time of 1:58.81. Thomas Macagg wrapped up the field for the Warriors as he took 35th with a time of 2:19.41.
Mile: Drew Jones led the Warriors in the mile as his time of 4:19.24 allowed him to secure eighth place. Behind him, Ronan O'Neill took 15th with a time of 4:27.29. Grady Clark took 26th with a time of 4:34.27. He was followed by Thomas Macagg who took 41st with a time of 5:04.09.
3000m: Southern Wesleyan was led by Kaden Reeder in the 3000 meters as he took 35th with a time of 9:05.53.
5000m: Ronan O'Neill led the Warriors in the 5000 meters as his time of 14:57.64 allowed him to take fifth place. Kaden Reeder and Caleb Richardson were the next two Warriors to finish. Reeder took ninth with a time of 16:17.21 and Richardson finished in 10th with a time of 16:52.25.
4x400 Meter Relay: Southern Wesleyan's team of Ethan Marchman, Dustyn Scruggs, Grady Clark and Nate Hill took fifth in the men's 4x400 meter relay as they finished in 3:23.84.
Field Results
High Jump: Isaiah Gamble took 15th in the high jump as he cleared 1.81 meters.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will travel to Winston-Salem, NC on February 7-8 to take on the Camel City Splits. They will then compete in the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track and Field Championship on February 23-24.
