How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan was led by sophomore Merritt Smith on Friday morning as her time of 20:05.2 allowed her to finish in 145th place. Right behind her, senior Abbey Frock finished with a time of 20:22.3 to put her in 165th. Divinity Ervin claimed 191st with a time of 20:49.2.
Freshman Emma Dixon was the next Warrior to finish as her time of 21:11.9 put in in 215th place. She was followed by Evelyn Gordon in 240th with a time of 21:52.2. Janey Dixon finished in 242nd place with a time of 21:54.6, and seconds later Ava LaBrant finished with a time of 21:59.9 to put her in 245th place.
Gisselle Lopez took 266th with a time of 22:47.2. Lopez was followed by Haley Morgan and Nicole Feagan. Morgan claimed 280th with a time of 23:39.3 and Feagan followed with a time of 23:52.1 for 283rd place.
What's Next
The Warriors will next travel to Charlotte, NC on October 6 to take part in the Queens University of Charlotte's Royal Challenge. Southern Wesleyan will compete in the Conference Carolinas Championship on October 21.
