What are your goals for the upcoming season?
"For this upcoming season, I hope to enjoy the experience for one last time. While I wish to experience personal bests in my events, I would like to enjoy my final year of collegiate athletics. Spend time with my teammates, continue to grow as an individual, and work to foster a healthy team environment before my departure from SWU."

Why did you choose SWU?
"I initially chose SWU because of family connections. My brother chose to attend SWU a year before I committed. I had been working with the head track and field coach since middle school so I was quite comfortable with the environment of the team. Essentially, I knew that the transition would be relatively easy for me because of the previous connections I had made."

What is your favorite thing about SWU?
"There are many things that I have grown to love about SWU over the past four years. However, one of the things I love the most is the small size of the school. While most people might not like this, I think it is great for me. I feel like it is easier to make friends with those around you. I get to see the same few people everyday quite easily. It feels like the connections I make are tighter and that is something I truly enjoy."

Why is your sport important to you?
"The sports that I participate in are of great importance to me. They have allowed me to grow as an individual and have provided me with many life lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. It is important to me because I believe I have developed friendships that will last a lifetime. It truly is one of the best parts of my life and is incredibly impactful to me as an individual."

Who is your greatest influence in life? Why?
"I believe that one of the greatest influences in my life is my father. He has guided me for my entire life and seems to be filled to the brim with insightful knowledge. When I have simply or complex questions, I go to him. He has continuously been there for me when others have not. I appreciate him and understand that he has been and will continue to be one of the greatest influences on my life."

Where do you want to be in 5 years?
"It is hard to say where I will be in five years. That seems like such a long way away but it is most definitely not. In a few years' time, I think that I will be living closer to my family and entering into my career field. Having finished graduate school and beginning my career, I hope that in five years I will start to establish myself as an individual in the business world, working towards success."

Do you have a nickname? What is it?
"My close friends call me Abs. My dad calls me '2' as it is my lucky number."

How did you get your nickname?
"Abs is simply a shortened version of my name. But only the closest people in my life call me that. On the other hand, 2 is a nickname that only my father calls me. In past sports, 2 was always my number. It is a lucky number that has managed to stick with me for many years now."

Who is your favorite athlete?
"Emma Coburn."

What is your favorite food?
"Maryland Blue Crab Pretzel."
