Warriors Compete in the USC South Carolina Invitational

Columbia, S.C. - Southern Wesleyan competed in the USC South Carolina Invitational on Friday and Saturday. 

 

How It Happened

Track

60 Meters : In the 60 meter dash, Jordan Blue posted a time of 7.29 to take 58th place. Jannai Maxwell followed in 68th place with a time of 7.34.

60 Meter Hurdles : Leonard Holmes claimed 6th place with a time of 8.37.

400 Meters : Thomas Williams posted a time of 51.18 to take 54th place in the 400 meter dash. Jordan Blue followed in 81st with a time of 54.96. Demadgyai Croft followed Blue in 83rd place with a time of 55.92. In 84th place, Kaleb Jackson posted a time of 56.08 and Shylik Smalls finished in 86th place with a time of 56.74.

800 Meters : In the 800 meter dash, Jacob Harris took 36th place with a time of 2:00.45 and Michael Griffin claimed 49th with a time of 2:02.11.

3000 Meters : Konnor Palacios finished in 15th place with a time of 9:08.02.

1 Mile : Michael Griffin took 29th place with a time of 4:31.60 to set the new school record in the mile. Konnor Palacios followed in 32nd place with a time of 4:33.56. Jacob Harris took 41st place with a time of 4:48.48 and Casey Frock finished in 50th with a time of 5:09.39.

Field

Weight Throw : Keauntai Robinson claimed ninth place in the weight throw with a distance of 14.94 meters.

High Jump : Chandler Whittle took fifth place with a height of 1.93 meters.

Shot Put : In 13th place with a distance of 13.41 meters was Keauntai Robinson. 

 

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will compete in the JDL College Team Challenge on February 13. They will then compete in the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships on February 23.
