Southern Wesleyan Wraps up Regular Season at JDL College Team Challenge

Winston-Salem, NC – Southern Wesleyan took several top positions at the JDL College Team Challenge on Thursday.

 

How It Happened

Track

60 Meters : Jannai Maxwell led the Warriors in the 60 meters, taking 11th with a time of 7.22.  He was followed by teammate Johnny Bogert in 23 with a time of 7.71.

60 Meter Hurdles : In the 60 meter hurdles, senior Leonard Holmes took second place with a time of 8.45.

200 Meters : In the 200 meters, Jannai Maxwell took 10th place with a time of 23.42.  Behind Maxwell, Jordan Blue took 21st with a time of 24.33.

400 Meters : Thomas Williams and Dymitric Ray led the Warriors in the 400 meters.  Williams finished in third place with a 51.48 while Ray took fourth with a 51.52.  They were followed by Fredrick Carson in 21st with a time of 1:04.39.

800 Meters : Kaleb Jackson was the first Warrior to finish the 800 meter.  The senior took 19th with a time of 2:16.76.  He was followed by Casey Frock and Noah Dilday.  Frock finished with a time of 2:17.52 to put him in 21st and Dilday finished in 23rd with a time of 2:35.94.

 

Field

High Jump : Chandler Whittle took eighth place in the high jump for Southern Wesleyan.  Whittle cleared a jump of 1.80 meters.  Behind him Johnny Bogert took 10th with a jump of 1.80 meters.

 

What's Next

The Warriors will next take on the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championship on February 23.  Southern Wesleyan will then open up outdoor season on March 20-21 as they compete at the CSU Spring Break Invitational in Charleston, SC.
