Johnson City, TN – Southern Wesleyan set several new school records at the ETSU Buccaneer Classic on Friday and Saturday.

Track
60 Meters : Freshman Jordan Blue took 20th in the semi-finals of the 60 meters with a time 7.16. Earlier in the day, during the preliminaries, Bryce Bennett finished in 20th with a time of 7.167 to lead the team. He was followed by Blue with a time of 7.186 in 23rd. Johnny Bogert took 60th with a time of 7.42 and Fredrick Carson took 83rd with a time of 7.776.
60 Meter Hurdles : Leonard Holmes set a new school record in the semi-finals of the 60 meters hurdles as his time of 8.30 allowed him to take third place.
200 Meters : Dymitric Ray led the Warriors in the 200 meters, taking 23rd with a time of 22.63. He was followed by Thomas Williams and Leonard Holmes. Williams claimed 34th with a time of 23.051 and Holmes was right on his heels in 35th with a time of 23.053. Behind them, Shonquez Caldwell took 37th with a time of 23.10 and Jannai Maxwell took 39th with a time of 23.135. Jordan Blue took 55th with a time of 23.59.
400 Meters : In the 400 meters, Demadgyai Croft took 53rd with a time of 58.18.
800 Meters : Jacob Harris led the Warriors in the 800 meters. His time of 2:02.17 allowed him to finish in 24th place. Behind him, Michael Griffin took 28th with a time of 2:03.29. Kaleb Jackson and Casey Frock were the next two to cross the finish line. Jackson took 67th with a time of 2:15.90 and Frock claimed 68th with a time of 2:16.39.
3000 Meters : Konnor Palacios was the first Warrior across the finish line in the 3000 meters. His time of 9:12.22 allowed him to take 20th in the race.
5000 Meters : Sophomore Peyton Shelton claimed 32nd in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:18.91.
4x400 Meter Relay : The Warriors A Team in the 4x400 Meter Relay took fourth place with a time of 3:20.22. Their B Team followed in 17th with a time of 3:42.65.
4000 Meter Distance Medley Relay (DMR) : Southern Wesleyan set a new school record in the DMR as the team of Konnor Palacios, Michael Griffin, Kaleb Jackson and Jacob Harris worked together to take a sixth place finish with a time of 10:57.24.
Field
Weight Throw : Keauntai Robinson led the Warriors in the weight throw as he took 18th with a throw of 13.47 meters.
Long Jump : In the long jump, junior Bryce Bennett took 15th with a jump of 6.51 meters.
High Jump : Chandler Whittle set a new school record in the high jump as he cleared a height of 1.95 meters to put him in second place.
Shot Put : Keauntai Robinson continued to lead the Warriors in the shot put. His throw of 13.38 meters allowed him to take 15th place.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Columbia, SC to take part in the USC South Carolina Invitational on February 7 and 8. They will then close out the indoor regular season on February 13 at the JDL College Team Challenge. The Warriors will then take part in the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championship on February 23.
