Johnson City, TN – In the first meet of 2020, Southern Wesleyan finished in the top 20 in several events.

Track
60 Meters : In the 60 Meters, Jordan Blue led the Warriors, taking 19th with a time of 7.11. Blue was followed by senior Jannai Maxwell in 34th with a time of 7.29.
200 Meters : Dymitric Ray and Jannai Maxwell led the Warriors in the 200 Meters. Ray took 25th with a time of 23.02, and Maxwell was right behind him in 27th with a time of 23.03. Thomas Williams finished the 200 meters in 33rd with a time of 23.20. Shonquez Caldwell followed Williams, finishing with a time of 23.58 to put him in 44th. Jacob Harris and Jordan Blue were the next two Warriors across. Harris took 69th with a time of 25.15 and Blue was 71st with a time of 25.98.
400 Meters : Dymitric Ray took 15th in the 400 meters with a time of 51.35. Right on his heels were Thomas Williams with a time of 51.54 and Shonquez Caldwell with a time of 51.70. Williams took 19th and Caldwell claimed 21st. Finished with a time of 54.67, Jacob Harris took 39th.
800 Meters : Taking 18th, freshman Michael Griffin finished the 800 meters with a time of 2:09.12. He was followed by Casey Frock in 26th with a time of 2:17.03 and Kaleb Jackson in 27th with a time of 2:17.42. Coming in 30th, Peyton Shelton finished with a time of 2:21.89.
5000 Meters : Michael Griffin led the Warriors in the 5000 meters, taking 13th with a time of 17:11.10. Peyton Shelton and Casey Frock followed him into the top 20. Shelton took 18th with a time of 17:59.53 and Frock took 19th with a time of 18:50.05.

Weight Throw : Keauntai Robinson led the Warriors in the weight throw. His throw of 14.01 meters earned him a 10th place finish. He was followed by Christian Swindle in 15th with a throw of 13.31 meters.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will close out at the ETSU Invitational tomorrow before traveling to Columbia, SC to take part in the USC Gamecock Invite on January 17-18. They will then travel back up to Johnson City, TN to take part in the ETSU Buccaneer Classic on January 31 and February 1.
