Coach Quarandillo says…

"Another tough battle tonight.  We were down numbers, plain and simple, and it's hard to run for 90 minutes against teams like these without the subs.  My guys played hard and gave 100%, I can't ask for anything more than that.  We have no reason to hang our heads."

How It Happened

North Georgia challenged the Warriors field early as Donovan Odier took a pass from Eren Ozer to put the Nighthawks on top 1-0.  They continued to pressure with several shots by Andrei Bajura and Sam Walton.  However, the Warriors quickly countered as Alex Miner tipped the ball to Miguel Gallegos who took it to the net to allow the Warriors to tie the game.  The Nighthawks would not let up as they continued to pepper Will Hughes and the Warriors defense, but they would not let the ball find the net.  Miguel Gallegos pushed the ball up to the net back-to-back but Conner Domaleski got in front of the ball every time to keep the Warriors from taking the lead.  North Georgia regained the lead on a goal by Eren Ozer, but the Warriors countered as Miner sent the ball to Alex Olson.  Olson drilled the ball into the back of the net to allow the Warriors to tie the game at the half.

Southern Wesleyan continued to pressure with several attacks through North Georgia territory.  However, the Nighthawks would not let up as Jack Newhouse took the ball to the net to put them on top 3-2.  The Warriors continued to pressure as Ben Baker and Trey Greenwood made several attack runs on the goal, but none of their attacks met the net.  Southern Wesleyan would not be deterred as they continued to push the ball into enemy territory.  Back-to-back shots on goal by Alex Miner and Miguel Gallegos were scooped up by Domaleski to prevent the Warriors from tying it up.  The Nighthawks put their final goal in the net with just over a minute left in the game as Newhouse sent the goal into the net.  North Georgia won the game in a 4-2 final score.
