Six Goals Lead to a Warrior Win

A hat trick by Christian Taylor assists in a six goal win for the Southern Wesleyan Warriors.

The first half proved to be an exciting event for the Warriors against the Rams of Columbia International.  It started early with a goal by Taylor.  Columbia International followed with two goals to pull ahead.  However, SWU rallied to tie the game before the end of the first half with a second goal by Taylor.

The Warriors did not slow down in the second half, with goals from Sam Rowden, Michel Herszenhaut, Skyler Mattox and Taylor, ultimately bringing about a SWU victory.  The goal in the second half by Herszenhaut was his fourth goal in the past three games.

Miguel Uribe compiled 4 saves for SWU in the win.  The victory makes the Warriors overall record rise to 6-4.  Columbia International's record becomes 5-7 after the conclusion of the match.

Southern Wesleyan will next host Limestone on Saturday, October 8 at 7 pm.
