Box Score CENTRAL, S.C. - Michel Herszenhout scored the second goal of the game to tie the Falcons, but undefeated Pfeiffer, the top ranked team in Division II, would score three unanswered to win 4-1 on Saturday afternoon in front of a loud homecoming crowd. The Warriors are now 9-5-2 overall and 4-4-2 in conference play while Pfeiffer improves to a perfect 17-0 and 10-0 in Conference Carolinas.
Juan Sanchez scored the first goal of the game in the 25th minute of play to put the Falcons ahead. Herszenhout answered in the 34th minute of action as the junior had an uncontested shot that got by the keeper into the left side of the goal. Herszenhout leads the Southern Wesleyan team with seven goals this season.
The 1-1 tie would hold unti the 79th minute of action when Cristobal Allendes scored on a corner kick, putting the Falcons back in front. Pfeiffer would tack on to the lead in the 89th and 90th minutes of play as Santi Moar and Nathan Regis added goals within 42 seconds of each other.
Today's game was the final home game for the Warriors, who head on the road next to play Spring Hill and Palm Beach Atlantic in the "Classic on the Hill 2015" tournament. Southern Wesleyan plays host school Spring Hill on Friday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. and Palm Beach Atlantic Saturday, Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. to end the regular season.
