Box Score GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Southern Wesleyan men's soccer team fell 6-1 at the hands of Limestone on Wednesday night, snapping a five game win streak. The Warriors are now 8-4-1 overall and 3-3-1 within Conference Carolinas while Limestone improves to 10-3 overall and 7-1 in conference play.
The Saints scored three goals in each half with L. Randriamanantena and Sebastian Gregersen each scoring two goals. The Warrior goal, scored by Christian Taylor, came in the 51st minute as the sophomore forward dribbled the ball down the right wing and drilled a shot into the left side of the net. The goal was Taylor's fourth of the year and he now has nine points on the season.
Limestone had a 22-5 advantage in shots and a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks. Ruben Rodriguez added five saves in the loss.
The Warriors return to the field Friday, Oct. 23 at North Greenville at 5 p.m. in the second of three consecutive road games. Southern Wesleyan returns home Oct. 31 against Pfeiffer at 3 p.m. for its final home game of the regular season.
