Greenville, SC – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Baseball Academic All-District honorees were released this week. Conference Carolinas had 23 student-athletes recognized from nine institutions.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Southern Wesleyan was honored as five players received recognition on the CSC Academic All-District team. Position players Nolan Evatt, Ethan Shimmel and Perry Dyer along with pitchers Lukas Arvantides and Logan Brazell joined Baseball student-athletes from eight other member institutions from Conference Carolinas on the list.
Warriors infielders Ethan Shimmel and Perry Dyer joined outfielder Nolan Evatt as the three position players representing Southern Wesleyan.
Ethan Shimmel, who played at first base along with serving as a designated hitter for the Warriors during the 2026 season, led the team in batting average. Over 173 at bats, he collected 61 hits including nine home runs, two triples and 16 doubles. A Computer Information Systems major, Shimmel went on to drive in 53 RBIs for Southern Wesleyan along with coming in to score 50 runs.
In his first season with the Warriors after transferring in from Limestone University, Perry Dyer was fourth on the team in batting average. A Business Administration major, Dyer collected 50 hits over the course of the season including six home runs, one triple and 12 doubles. He went on to come in to score 35 times for the Warriors and collected 30 RBIs.
Nolan Evatt, a senior from down the road in Liberty, SC, was the lone outfielder to represent the Warriors on the CSC Academic All-District team. Evatt, who graduated in May with a degree in Business Administration, started in all 51 games for the Warriors. Second on the team in batting average, he finished the season by collecting 71 hits in his 202 at bats for a .351 batting average. He accumulated five home runs, two triples and 11 doubles in his final season with the Warriors. Evatt was also second on the team in stolen bases as he successfully stole 33 of his 36 stolen base attempts.
Seniors Lukas Arvantides and Logan Brazell were the lone representatives of the Warriors' pitching staff to receive academic honors.
Lukas Arvantides led the Warriors in wins during the 2026 campaign as he totaled four wins on the mound. A Recreation and Sports Management major, Arvantides pitched 57.2 innings while striking out 25 batters.
Fellow senior Logan Brazell joined Arvantides on the CSC Academic All-District team. Brazell appeared in 18 games in his final campaign with the Warriors including having three starts. The History and Public Policy Major finished the season with two wins. He pitched 29 innings and struck out 18 batters.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 23, 2026.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
