How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan was first on the board in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Championship Tournament.  With one out in the top of the first inning,  Nolan Evatt hit a pop up single right past the pitcher's mound.  A throwing error by the pitcher allowed Evatt to advance to second base.  Ethan Shimmel was then hit by a pitch to put two runners on and bring Cole Kirschner up to bat.  Kirschner hit a double down the right field line that allowed Evatt to come in to score.

Erskine answered in the bottom of the inning as Mason McManus hit a solo home run over the left field fence.

The Flying Fleet continued their attacks on the plate as they brought runs in to sure during the second, third and fifth to allow them to take a 14-1 run victory over the Warriors.
