Greenville, SC – Conference Carolinas announced the Women's Lacrosse Major Award winners and All-Conference teams on Wednesday afternoon. The Warriors were honored as senior midfielder, Fianna Steves, was honored with a place on the All-Conference Second Team.
Steves, a native of Myrtle Beach, SC, had a successful senior season with the Warriors. The senior led the Warriors defensively in the 2026 campaign as she totaled 88 ground balls, 78 caused turnovers and 56 draw controls. She also had six goals and five assists during the season. Steves led the nation in caused turnovers and ground balls per game as she averaged 5.06 ground balls per game and 4.59 caused turnovers per game.
She picked up a season high 11 caused turnovers in the victory over Ferrum on March 28. Her 11 caused turnovers allowed her to break the record that she set the previous year of 10 against Lees-McRae. She continued her impressive season with a season high 10 ground balls against Shorter on March 17.
Her record breaking season was highlighted by surpassing 200 ground balls and draw controls, and 100 caused turnovers.
