Winston-Salem, NC – Southern Wesleyan put up a strong showing at the Mondo College Invitational with several top twenty finishes.

Track Results
60m | Senior Makayla Wilson led the team in the 60 meters as she took 27th with a time of 8.07. She was followed by Shania Hatton and Cianna Laginestra. Hatton took 57th with a time of 8.33 and Laginestra took 66th with a time of 8.57.
200m | In the 200 meters, Makayla Wilson continued to lead the team as she took 31st with a time of 26.68. Wilson was followed by Shania Hatton in 67th with a time of 28.25.
800m | Kristi Gallagher finished in 14th with a time of 2:29.57. She was followed by Freda Ruiz in 20th with a time of 2:35.65. Wrapping up the field for the Warriors was Kylie Gallagher in 30th with a time of 2:49.44.
Mile | Senior Merritt Smith finished just inside the top twenty as she took 18th with a time of 5:23.57. Ellie Adams and Anna Maddalena were the next two Warriors to finish. Adams took 44th with a time of 5:48.35 and Maddalena took 47th with a time of 5:56.17.
4x800m Relay | The Warriors team of Freda Ruiz, Elise Foster, Merritt Smith and Claire Walker took third place in the 4x800 meter relay as they finished in 10:34.65.

Pole Vault | In the pole vault, Katelyn McCarson cleared 2.80 meters to take sixth place.
Shot Put | Alexandria Luther took 29th with a throw of 9.09 meters.
Weight Throw | Alexandria Luther finished in 21st in the weight throw after she threw a distance of 10.77 meters.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Lynchburg, VA to take part in the Brant Tolsma Invitational hosted by Liberty University on January 30-31. They will then travel back up to Winston-Salem, NC to compete in the ASICS Sound Invite. The Warriors will take part in the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championship on February 22-23.
