How It Happened
The Warriors were led by senior Merritt Smith in the first race of the season. Smith's time of 19:59.6 allowed her to take 13th place. Freshman Elise Foster was the next Warrior to cross the finish line as her time of 21:48.3 put her in 44th place. Taking 55th in the race was Kristi Gallagher with a time of 22:14.6.
Sophomore Freda Ruiz claimed 65th place with a time of 22:37.0. She was followed by Anna Maddalena and Ella Harned. Maddalena's time of 23:45.1 put her in 86th place, and Harned's time of 24:08.9 allowed her to take 91st. Wrapping up the field for the Warriors was Claire Walker and Kylie Gallagher. Walker took 99th with a time of 25:20.0 and Gallagher took 113th place with a time of 27:47.9.
What's Next
The Warriors will travel up to Charlotte, NC on September 20th to compete in the Bulldog Stampede hosted by Wingate. They will then travel down to Huntsville, AL to run in the Twilight at John Hunt race.
