Central, SC - The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages here. Conference Carolinas was honored as 19 Baseball players across the conference were among those recognized. A complete list of those players can be seen here.
The Warriors were honored as Marty Grisso, Gage Shaver and Lukas Arvantides were among those recognized on the Academic All-District team.
Marty Grisso, a graduate student out of Rancho Cucamongo, CA, has been studying Business Administration at Southern Wesleyan. Grisso primarily played third base for the Warriors, but also spent time in right field. He finished second on the team in home runs as he hit six in his final season with the Warriors. Grisso also had 10 doubles to lead the team and had one triple.
A sophomore out of Ringgold, GA, Gage Shaver served as both the Warriors' primary center fielder along with starting in nine games on the mound for Southern Wesleyan. A Business Administration major, Shaver pitched 56 innings while striking out 43 batters. At the plate, he hit .299 while collecting five doubles, three triples and two home runs.
The final Warrior among those recognized was Lukas Arvantides. Arvantides pitched 48.1 innings for Southern Wesleyan while striking out 39 batters. He started in 12 of the 13 games he appeared in. A native of Bluffton, SC, Arvantides is a red-shirt sophomore who is majoring in Recreation and Sports Management.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 1, 2025.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
