Winston-Salem, NC – Southern Wesleyan senior Ava LaBrant led the Warriors at the Camel City Splits as she took a seventh place finish in the pole vault.

Track Results

60m: Makayla Wilson took 45^th in the 60 meter preliminaries as she finished in 8.21.

60mh: In the 60 meter hurdles, TraVon Lay finished in 14^th with a time of 9.36.

200m: Southern Wesleyan was led in the 200 meters by Makayla Wilson who took 56^th with a time of 28.13.  Wilson was followed by Amariah Davis who took 69^th with a time of 28.83.  Gracie Wilson wrapped up the field for the Warriors as she took 78^th with a time of 31.04.

400m: Alyse Davis led the Warriors in the 400 meters as she took 41^st with a time of 1:05.01.  She was followed by senior Kyla Johnson who took 50^th with a time of 1:07.69.

600m: In the 600 meters, Elena Juarez finished in 9^th with a time of 2:00.86.

800m: Ava LaBrant finished in 41^st in the 800 meters with a time of 2:34.40.  Merritt Smith and Divinity Ervin were the next two Warriors to finish.  Smith took 48^th with a time of 2:37.87 and Ervin took 58^th with a time of 2:44.68.  Nicole Feagan finished in 73^rd with a time of 3:13.66.

Mile: Macey Morgan finished in 49^th in the mile with a time of 5:48.86.  Right behind her, Kristi Gallagher took 50^th with a time of 5:53.91.

4x400 Meter Relay: The Warriors' team of Amariah Davis, Kyla Johnson, TraVon Lay and Alyse Davis took eighth with a time of 4:46.16.

Distance Medley: The team of Macey Morgan, Ava LaBrant, Kristi Gallagher and Merritt Smith took fifth in the distance medley with a time of 13:34.12.

Field Results

Long Jump: Makayla Wilson finished in 22^nd in the long jump as she jumped 4.83 meters.

Pole Vault: In the pole vault, Ava LaBrant took seventh after she cleared 3.05 meters.

Weight Throw: Gracie Wilson led the Warriors in the weight throw as he throw of 12.68m allowed her to take 16^th.  She was followed by Alexandria Luther who took 24^th with a throw of 11.45m.

Shot Put: In the shot put, Gracie Wilson finished in 38^th with a throw of 9.51m.  Alexandria Luther took 42^nd in the shot put with a throw of 8.26m.

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will compete in the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championship on February 23-24.  They will then open up the Outdoor Track & Field season at home as they host the Susan Rouse Invitational on March 1.
