Winston-Salem, NC – Southern Wesleyan took tenth place at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track and Field Championship at the conclusion of the two day meet.

Track Results
60m: Senior Kyla Johnson took 23rd in the 60 meters as she finished in 8.55.
800m: In the 800 meters, the Warriors were led by Kristi Gallagher who took 10th with a time 2:30.24. Gallagher was followed by Ava LaBrant who took 16th with a time of 2:36.12.
Mile: Merritt Smith took seventh in the mile as she finished with a time of 5:32.26. Right on her heels, Macey Morgan took 11th with a time of 5:42.36.
3000m: Southern Wesleyan junior Merritt Smith took 10th in the women's 3000 meters with a time of 11:06.50. Smith was followed by Macey Morgan who took 19th with a time of 11:31.93.
4x400 Meter Relay: In the 4x400 meter relay, the Warriors team of Kyla Johnson, Makayla Wilson, Ava LaBrant and TraVon Lay took ninth with a time of 4:26.73.
Distance Medley Relay: Southern Wesleyan distance medley relay team of Macey Morgan, TraVon Lay, Kristi Gallagher and Marritt Smith finished in sixth place with a time of 13:21.90.
Field Results
Pole Vault: Senior Ava LaBrant took fourth in the pole vault as she cleared a height of 2.92 meters.
Shot Put: In the shot put, Alexandria Luther took 15th as she threw a distance of 9.46 meters.
Weight Throw: Alexandria Luther threw 11.78 meters to take 16th in the weight throw.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will kick-off the Outdoor Track & Field season on March 1 as they host the Susan Rouse Invitational. They will then travel to Columbia, SC to take part in the Columbia International Invitational on March 7-8.
