Lynchburg, VA – Southern Wesleyan competed against a strong field at the Brant Tolsma Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Track Results
60m: Amariah Davis led the Warriors in the 60 meters as she took 65th with a time of 8.50. Behind her, Makayla Wilson took 67th with a time of 8.51 and Alyse Davis took 68th with a time of 8.55. Cianna Laginestra wrapped up the field for Southern Wesleyan as she took 69th with a time of 8.57.
60mh: Senior TraVon Lay took 28th in the preliminaries of the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.47.
800m: In the 800 meters, Kristi Gallagher took 47th with a time of 2:34.78. Behind her Merritt Smith finished in 49th with a time of 2:37.87.
3000m: Merritt Smith took 43rd in the 3000 meter run as she finished with a time of 10:59.30.
Field Results
Pole Vault: Ava LaBrant took 13th in the pole vault as she cleared a height of 2.90 meters.
Shot Put: Southern Wesleyan was led by sophomore Gracie Wilson in the shot put. Wilson's throw of 9.17 meters allowed her to take 38th place. She was followed by Alexandria Luther as her throw of 8.79 meters allowed her to take 40th.
Weight Throw: Alexandria Luther took 37th with a throw of 10.86 meters. She was followed by Gracie Wilson who took 38th with a throw of 10.31 meters.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will travel to Winston-Salem, NC on February 7-8 to take on the Camel City Splits. They will then compete in the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track and Field Championship on February 23-24.
