How It Happened
Ronan O'Neill led the whole field at the Eye Opener on Friday as he took first place with a time of 24:50.44. O'Neill was followed by Drew Jones. Jones took 31st with a time of 26:24.34. Grady Clark was the next Warrior to finish as he took 46th with a time of 27:15.12. He was followed by Kaden Reeder who took 50th with a time of 27:20.52.
Freshman Caleb Richardson was the next Warrior to finish the Eye Opener. His time of 27:47.97 allowed him to take 65th place. Behind him was Landon Mayfield who finished in 73rd with a time of 28:06.94. Taking 90th in the race was Josue Avendano as he finished with a time of 28:50.42.
Braydon Lane finished in 98th place with a time of 29:16.99. He was closely followed by Nate Hill who took 102nd place with a time of 29:27.04. Finishing in 115th was Ethan Marchman as he crossed the finish line with a time of 30:07.71. He was followed by JT Locke who took 124th with a time of 30:23.46. Thomas Macagg finished in 138th with a time of 31:34.18 and Andrew Davis took 152nd with a time of 35:07.75.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Greenville, SC on September 14 as they take part in the Furman Invite. They will then take part in the FSU Pre-Regional on September 27 in Tallahassee, FL. On October 11, the Warriors will travel to Charlotte, SC to take part in Queens University of Charlotte's Royals XC Challenge.
