Charlotte, NC – Southern Wesleyan claimed first place in the Royals XC Challenge on Friday afternoon with three Warriors finishing in the top five places.

How It Happened
The Warriors were led by senior Grady Clark in the Royals XC Challenge. Clark took second place in the race with a time of 25:31.47. His time was not only a personal best, but the third fastest time in school history. Just seconds behind Clark, Kaden Reeder took fourth with a time of 25:52.22. Right on his heels was Grayson Gillespie. Gillespie's time of 25:53.03 allowed him to take fifth.
Drew Jones was the next Warrior to finish in the Royals XC Challenge as he took 16th with a time of 26:32.11. Jones was followed by Caleb Richardson who took 34th with a time of 27:08.50. Jesse Sauve took 61st with a time of 27:49.93 and Dustyn Scruggs finished in 70th with a time of 28:08.34. They were followed by Landon Mayfield who took 106th place with a time of 29:09.67.
What's Next
The Warriors will next compete in the Conference Carolinas Championship on October 24. They will then compete in the NCAA Southeast Regional on November 8.
