How It Happened
Senior Drew Jones led the Warriors in their second race of the season as he took 27th with a time of 22:58.15. Jones was followed by Kaden Reeder who took 35th with a time of 23:14.16. They were followed by Grady Clark and Grayson Gillespie. Clark took 47th with a time of 23:36.16 and Gillespie finished in 50th with a time of 23:41.59.
The Warriors fifth runner to finish in the Bulldog Stampede was Dustyn Scruggs. Scruggs finished in 68th with a time of 24:20.01. Caleb Richardson finished in 72nd place with a time of 24:23.55. Southern Wesleyan's next runner to cross the finish line was Jesse Sauve who took 91st with a time of 25:08.84. Alex Howerton took 97th with a time of 25:26.89.
Landon Mayfield finished in 106th in the race with a time of 26:08.08. Right behind Mayfield was Andre Kelly III who took 112th with a time of 26:50.02. John Locke was the next runner to finish for Southern Wesleyan as his time of 28:36.21 put him in 126th. He was followed by Ethan Marchman and Nate Hill. Marchman and Hill tied for 137th place as they both finished with times of 31:05.78.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will travel to Huntsville, AL on September 26 to take part in the Twilight at John Hunt. They will remain on the road on October 10 to travel up to Charlotte, NC to race in the Royals XC Challenge.
