How It Happened
Junior Ronan O'Neill led the Warriors at the Furman Invitational on Saturday. O'Neill finished in sixth with a time of 18:04.3. He was followed by Drew Jones and Kaden Reeder. Jones took 40th with a time of 19:32.3 and Reeder finished in 49th with a time of 19:51.0. Grady Clark was the next Warrior to cross the finish line as he took 58th with a time of 20:12.1.
Caleb Richardson was Southern Wesleyan's fifth finisher as his time of 20:35.6 allowed him to take 70th. Fellow freshman Braydon Lane was right behind him in 73rd with a time of 20:44.8. Coming in 85th was junior Landon Mayfield who finished with a time of 21:06.7.
Josue Avendano took 90th with a time of 21:19.1. Avendano was followed by Andrew Davis who's time of 22:19.2 put him in 98th. Ethan Marchman and JT Locke were the next two Warriors to finish the Furman Invitational. Marchman finished in 106th with a time of 22:46.1 and Locke took 107th with a time of 23:04.8.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will travel to Tallahassee, FL on September 27 to take part in the FSU Pre-Regional. They will then travel up to Charlotte, NC to take part in Queens University of Charlotte's Royals XC Challenge on October 11. The Warriors will compete in the Conference Carolinas Championship on October 26.
