Cleveland, TN – Southern Wesleyan's Ronan O'Neill set a new school record in the 5000 meters and Abbey Frock finished top 10 in the steeplechase as the Warriors competed at Lee's Fast Break Meet.
How It Happened
Men's Track
5000 Meters: Ronan O'Neill had a strong showing for the Warriors in the 5000 meters. O'Neill's time of 14:34.27 bested the previous school record by fifteen seconds and allowed him to finish in seventh place.
800 Meters: In the 800 meters, Brooks Hovis finished in 56th place with a time of 1:59.84.
Women's Track
3000 Meter Steeplechase: Abbey Frock finished in the top ten in the steeplechase. Frock's time of 12:07.72 allowed her to take ninth.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will compete in Anderon's Electric City Invite on April 12-13. They will then travel up to Cullowhee, NC on April 19-20 to compete in the Western Carolina Invitational. The Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Championship will be on April 26-27.
