How It Happened
Ronan O'Neill broke the school record yet again as he claimed third place in the 8K with a time of 24:42.5. Behind O'Neill were both Drew Jones and Kaden Reeder. Jones finished in 119th with a time of 26:39.7 and Reeder took 123rd with a time of 26:40.6. The next Warrior to finish was Grady Clark. The junior out of Piedmont, SC finished in 175th with a time of 27:17.7. Landon Mayfield finished in 195th with a time of 27:31.2 and freshman Caleb Richardson was seconds behind him with a time of 27:55.2 to claim 228th.
They were followed by Andrew Davis who's time of 29:06.3 secured him 279th. Senior Thomas Macagg finished in 297th with a time of 29:45.7, and junior John Locke took 304th with a time of 30:28.4. Southern Wesleyan's next runner to finish was Ethan Marchman who claimed 309th with a time of 30:42.4. Marchman was followed by Josue Avendano who took 316th with a time of 31:36.3.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Charlotte, NC to take part in the Royals XC Challenge on October 11. They will then compete in the Conference Carolinas Championship on October 26.
