Spartanburg, SC – Ronan O'Neill led the Warriors to a fifth place team finish at the Conference Carolinas Championship on Saturday morning. O'Neill led the whole field as he took first to earn Conference Carolinas Runner of the Year honors.

How It Happened
Ronan O'Neill led the whole field in the Conference Carolinas Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday morning. O'Neill's time of 24:24.8 allowed him to finish forty seconds before the next finisher in the race and not only gave him the first place title, but also allowed him to be named the 2024 Conference Carolinas Runner of the Year. The next Warrior to cross the finish line in the championship was Drew Jones who's time of 25:52.8 put him in 11th. Jones was awarded All-Conference Second Team honors for his finish.
Freshman Caleb Richardson took 33rd in the race with a time of 26:50.3. He was followed by Kaden Reeder and Grady Clark. Reeder took 41st with a time of 27:10.3 and Clark took 42nd with a time of 27:13.1. Southern Wesleyan's next finisher was Landon Mayfield who took 65th with a time of 28:01.5.
Southern Wesleyan Seniors Thomas Macagg and Andrew Davis claimed 81st and 82nd respectively. Macagg finished with a time of 28:28.7 and Davis was right behind him with a time of 28:32.9. They were followed by fellow senior Josue Avendano with a time of 29:03.5 to put him in 96th place. Nate Hill took 104th with a time of 29:25.3. John Locke was the next Warrior to finish with a time of 30:52.9 to put him in 119th. Junior Ethan Marchman wrapped up the field for Southern Wesleyan as he took 130th with a time of 31:49.6.
