Greenville, SC – Southern Wesleyan took fifth as a team at the Furman Invitational on Saturday morning.
How It Happened
Sophomore
Ronan O'Neill led the Warriors at the Furman Invitational as his time of 19:22.56 allowed him to finish in 33
rd place.
Thomas Macagg,
Drew Jones and
Grady Clark all finished within six seconds of each other. Macagg led the way as his time of 20:12.90 put him in 55
th place. Jones was right on his heels in 56
th place with a time of 20:13.49. Wrapping up the top four was
Grady Clark who took 59
th with a time of 20:18.59.
Grayson Gillespie claimed 75
th place with a time of 21:56.21. He was followed by freshman
Nate Hill in 77
th with a time of 22:14.18.
Josue Avendano was the next Warrior to finish as he posted a time of 22:26.25 to put him in 79
th place. Right behind him were
Landon Mayfield and
Andrew Davis. Mayfield finished in 80
th with a time of 22:29.84 and Davis took 81
st with a time of 22:52.87.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will travel to Tallahassee, FL on September 29
th as they compete at Florida State University's FSU Invite. They will wrap up regular season on October 6 as they travel up to Charlotte, NC to take part in the Royal Challenge hosted by Queens University of Charlotte. The Conference Carolinas Championship will be held on October 21.
