Spartanburg, SC – The Warriors claimed third place in the Conference Carolinas Championship on Saturday morning as they had three runners finish in the top fifteen. Southern Wesleyan's Ronan O'Neill was named the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year after his top five finish in the championship race.

How It Happened
The Warriors were led by freshman Ronan O'Neill. O'Neill was the top freshman finisher in Conference Carolinas as he took third place with a time of 25:33.4. His third place finish allowed him to not only receive All-Conference First Team, but allowed him to be named the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year.
He was followed by Drew Jones and Thomas Macagg. Jones took eighth place with a time of 26:03.4, while Macagg finished in 12
th with a time of 26:13.1. Both Jones and Macagg were named to the All-Conference Second Team after their top fifteen finishes.
Jesse Sauve took 29
th with a time of 26:59.2. He was followed by Grayson Gillespie in 49
th with a time of 28:12.2. Gillespie was followed by Josue Avendano and Andrew Davis. Avendano took 70
th place with a time of 29:04.9 and Davis finished in 78
th with a time of 29:28.3. Landon Mayfield took 91
st with a time of 30:16.3.
Gabe Carnegey finished in 108
th with a time of 33:26.5. Louis Trapnell and John Locke wrapped up the field for the Warriors. Trapnell took 110
th with a time of 34:50.0 and Locke finished in 111
th with a time of 35:19.5.
