Tallahassee, FL – The Warriors competed in a deep field at the FSU XC Invite Women's 5K on Friday morning.
How It Happened
Abbey Frock led the Warriors on Friday morning as her time of 19:57.7 allowed her to finish in 145
th. She was followed seconds later by
Macey Morgan. Morgan ran a time of 20:22.6 to put her in a 163
rd place finish. Florida native,
Merritt Smith, ran a time of 20:26.5 to allow her to finish in 169
th.
Janey Dixon was the next Warrior to finish as she crossed the finish line with a time of 21:23.1 to put her in 202
nd. Dixon was followed by freshman
Nicole Feagan in 225
th with a time of 22:00.0.
Gisselle Lopez finished in 240
th with a time of 22:40.0.
Haley Morgan followed Lopez. Her time of 23:33.3 allowed her to finish in 252
nd place. Senior
Caroline Lamb and freshman
Braelyn Elrod wrapped up the field for the Warriors. Lamb took 276
th with a time of 26:31.7. She was closely followed by Elrod with a time of 26:45.0 to put her in 277
th place.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will wrap up the regular season on October 22 as they travel to Newberry, SC to compete in the Newberry College Invitational. They will then travel to Spartanburg, SC on November 5 to compete in the Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championship. The NCAA Regional Meet will be held in Charlotte, NC on November 19.
