Tallahassee, FL – Southern Wesleyan competed at the FSU XC Invite on Friday morning in an over 300 runner field.
How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan was led by freshman runner
Ronan O'Neill. O'Neill finished the 8K with a time of 26:13.7 to put him in 97
th place. He was followed by teammate
Thomas Macagg in 119
th place with a time of 26:42.5. Freshman
Drew Jones returned to his native state of Florida to run the 8K in a time of 27:09.1 to put him in 147
th place.
Josue Avendano and
Jesse Sauve were the next to runners to finish in the 8K. Avendano took 235
th with a time of 28:36.0 while Sauve followed him with a time of 28:28.4 to put him in 236
th.
Grayson Gillespie took 258
th with a time of 29:09.8. He was followed by
Andrew Davis in 264
th with a time of 29:23.5.
Behind him, freshman
Landon Mayfield took 281
st with a time of 30:31.6.
Louis Trapnell and
Gabe Carnegey wrapped up the field for the Warriors. Trapnell took 292
nd with a time of 33:49.4 and Carnegey finished in 297
th with a time of 36:04.3.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will wrap up the regular season on October 22 as they travel to Newberry, SC to compete in the Newberry College Invitational. They will then travel to Spartanburg, SC on November 5 to compete in the Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championship. The NCAA Regional Meet will be held in Charlotte, NC on November 19.
