Sophomore
Macey Morgan led the Warriors in the first race of the season as she finished the 4K in seventh place with a time of 16:20.2. She was closely followed by teammate
Abbey Frock in eighth with a time of 16:33.5. Senior
Taylor Broadwell was next to cross the finish line for the Warriors. Her time of 16:58.3 allowed her to take 14
th.
Maidson Lewellen finished just behind Broadwell with a time of 17:03.5 to give her a 16
th place finish. In her first race as a Warrior, freshman
Ava LaBrant took 19
th with a time of 17:27.7. Gisselle Lope followed in 35
th with a time of 18:21.8.
Hattie Pitts and
Janey Dixon were the next two Warriors to finish as their times of 18:58.8 and 19:18.9 respectively gave them a 43
rd and 44
th place finishes.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next compete at the Furman Invite on September 11 in Greenville, SC. They will then travel to Charlotte, NC on September 24 and October 8 to take part in the Queen City Invite and Royals Challenge hosted by the Queens Royals. The Warriors will wrap up the year on October 23 at the Conference Carolinas Championship.
