How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan finished in fifth as a team in the Conference Carolinas Championship on Saturday afternoon.  They were led by Macey Morgan.  Morgan took a sixth place finish with a time of 23:42.3 to earn All-Conference First Team honors.  She was followed by teammate Madison Lewellen in 12^th place with a time of 24:23.3.  Lewellen received All-Conference Second Team honors.  Abbey Frock took 22^nd in the championship with a time of 24:57.0.

Taylor Broadwell was the next Warrior to finish as her time of 25:12.8 gave her a 27^th place finish.  Broadwell was followed by Savanna Stewart in 48^th with a time of 26:21.4 and Ava Labrant in 54^th with a time of 26.44.9.  Janey Dixon took 61^st with a time of 27:18.5.  Haley Morgan and Gisselle Lopez were the next two to finish for Southern Wesleyan.  Morgan took 65^th with a time of 27:54.7 and Lopez took 70^th with a time of 28:26.1.

Hattie Pitts took 74^th for the Warriors as she finished with a time of 29:21.5.  She was followed by Caroline Lamb in 90^th with a time of 32:13.7.  Abril Arendano wrapped up the field for the Warriors as he time of 34:19.8 put her in 93^rd place.
