How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan took third place as a team in the Conference Carolinas Championship. Maggie Rice led the Warriors, finishing in fifth place with a time of 23:48.5 to earn a spot on the All-Conference First Team. She was closely followed by teammate Madison Lewellen in eighth place with a time of 24:21.6. Her eighth place finished earned her a spot on the All-Conference Second Team.
Just barely missing out on the All-Conference team, Taylor Reynolds took 16th with a time of 25:03.0. She was followed by Kyra Hood just under a minute behind her. Hood took 25th with a time of 25:50.5. Caroline Therrell took 43rd in the championship with a time of 27:22.1. Alison Dickson and Taylor Broadwell were the next two Warriors to finish. Dickson took 62nd with a time of 28:30.2 and Broadwell took 68th with a time of 29:36.5.
