Southern Wesleyan Claims Sixth in Final Regular Season Race

Beaufort, SC – Southern Wesleyan took sixth in the 2019 Sand Shark Invitational on Saturday morning.

How It Happened

The Warriors were led by junior Maggie Rice. Rice took 17th overall with a time of 19:15.43 for the 5K.  She was followed by teammate Taylor Reynolds in 26th place with a time of 19:43.95.  Madison Lewellen was right behind Reynolds, finishing with a time of 1:53.38 to take 31st.

Coming in seconds behind Lewellen, Kyra Hood crossed the finish line in 34th with a time of 20:14.93.  Caroline Therrell was the next Warrior to finish the race.  Therrell took 75th with a time of 21:32.42.  She was followed by Alison Dickson and Taylor Broadwell.  Dickson claimed 101st with a time of 23:09.72 while Broadwell took 103rd with a time of 23:11.55. 

 

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will close out the season at the Conference Carolinas Championship at Mount Olive on October 26.
