Greenville, TN – Southern Wesleyan took a fourth place team finish in their first race of the year with a team time of 1:54:21.90.

How It Happened

Maggie Rice led the Warriors in their first race of the season.  Rice took a ninth place finish with a time of 21:31.0.  She was followed by Madison Lewellen in 18^th with a time of 22:12.5. 

The third Warrior across the finish line was Anne-Marie Martin.   Martin took 32^nd place with a time of 23.15.7.  She was followed by Sarah Reeves and Hayley Singletary.  Reeves took 36^th place with 23:40.5 and Singletary was right behind her in 37^th with a time of 23:41.2.

Coming in 41^st, Kyra Hood crossed the line at 24:05.0.  She was followed by Alison Dickson in 48^th with a time of 24:55.3.  Hanan Balawi came in 50^th with a time of 25:02.3.  Kaitlyn Phillippo and Hattie Pitts followed Balawi.  Phillippo took 56^th with a time of 25:59.1 while Pitts was right behind her in 57^th with a time of 25:59.8.

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will next compete in their home race on September 14.  They will then travel to USC Upstate to take part in the Upstate Invite on September 29.
